What is Sunbeam House Services

Sunbeam House Services CLG (SHS) is a voluntary organisation, registered as a charity with the Revenue Commissioners, and providing a wide range of services to adults with intellectual disabilities. Sunbeam House Services is registered in Dublin, Registered Number 76504, at the office address of SHS, Southern Cross House, Southern Cross Ind. Estate, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Sunbeam House Services is constituted as a company limited by guarantee, and is also a registered housing association. Referrals are made by the Health Service Executive. SHS is funded by the Health Service Executive, the Department of Education & Skills and voluntary donations.

    Senior Management Team

    The Senior Management Team meet every Tuesday.


    Joe Lynch joined Sunbeam House Services in January 2020 as CEO. He has extensive experience in the Community and Voluntary sector having worked with the Parkinson’s Association, Disability Federation of Ireland and Camphill Communities of Ireland. He also brings commercial experience from his time with the Irish Concrete Federation. Joe is a graduate of NUI Maynooth, UCD, the Open University and National College of Ireland and has a special interest in supported living, social enterprise and decongregation.

    Financial Controller

    Martin Rogers joined Sunbeam in 1996. He moved from a commercial setting to take up the role of Company Accountant in 1996. More recently he held the office of Company Secretary for three years and in early 2019 he was appointed to lead the Finance Team as Financial Controller. Martin is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

    Acting Senior Quality Compliance & Training Manager

    Denise Commons is (Acting) Senior Quality, Compliance and Training Manager. Denise specialises in quality improvement systems and processes in accordance with national legislation and best practice. Denise’s team consists of Personal Planning Co-ordinator, Health and Safety; Staff training; internal auditing; complaints management; and NIMS data processing. Denise believes the focus for her and her team is to continually develop, innovate and improve services to ensure our clients are safe and provided with the best possible care, while also ensuring compliance with governing legislation is met consistently and to a high standard. Denise previously worked in the educational sector.
