A message from Fran Murphy our CEO

I have spoken to you before on the sense of community that is alive and kicking in Sunbeam and in Wicklow.

Now, in the current climate that is shared by the media so constantly, I want to reflect on something that is even more evident in our community: inclusivity. It is not an add-on to what we do; it is a fundamental cornerstone of who we are.
Sunbeam supports almost 400 people across Wicklow and South Dublin, each with their own story, strengths, voice and place in our community.
We employ 637 people from 36 countries and many counties, bringing different cultures, experiences, perspectives and talents into the life of Sunbeam.
We have 257 staff who have been with Sunbeam for over 5 years, and 106 who are with Sunbeam over 20 years!
We have people we support who have been with Sunbeam for almost 50 years and we have grown up together.
Together, we speak many languages, yet we also share one common language: respect, kindness, dignity and belonging.
We have every shade and hue of people in our community: every size, every shape, every gender, every background, every ability and every story. There is room for everyone in Sunbeam, and we are all here for the same reason: to understand one another, to add to each other’s lives, to live our values and to make sure that every person is included.
Take a minute today to consider how fortunate we are to be part of something worthwhile: a community where difference is welcomed, contribution is valued, and everyone has the right to belong.
Welcome to Sunbeam — a place for everyone.
